About This Car Boot Sale
Tripes Farm has hosted large outdoor car boots at Chelsfield Lane since 1988 and now runs a published set of licensed sale dates each year. Buyers and sellers enter from 7am, with no booking needed. Cars cost £14, small or medium vans £17, larger vans £20 and trailers £2 extra; buyer entry and parking are free. Toilets and hot and cold refreshments are available, and dogs are welcome on leads. Check the farm schedule before travelling in poor weather.
What to Expect
Tripes Farm Car Boot Sale runs on selected Sundays in Orpington, Greater London. Sellers can set up from 7am, and buyers enter from 7am.
The remaining published 2026 dates are 26 July, 9 and 23 August, and 6 and 20 September. Gates open at 7am for buyers and sellers. There is no fixed closing time; the sale normally lasts about six hours. Poor-weather cancellations are announced where possible at least 12 hours ahead and may be added at the end of the season.
Buyer entry is free. Seller pitches start at £14 for a car; van pitches start at £17; large-van pitches cost £20; trailers cost £2 additional.
