About This Car Boot Sale
York Racecourse hosts a large Saturday car boot with rows of cars and stalls across the Knavesmire. Expect second-hand household goods, toys, collectables and vintage finds, plus refreshments and grandstand toilets. Seller pitches start at £15 for cars, £18 for vans and £3 for trailers. Dogs are welcome on leads. New stock, counterfeit goods, weapons, alcohol and tobacco cannot be sold, and plant sellers must book in advance.

York Racecourse Car Boot Sale runs on Saturday in York, North Yorkshire, with outdoor pitches. It runs from March to October. Sellers can set up from 7am, and buyers enter from 7am.
There are no sales on the remaining racing Saturdays: 25 July, 22 August and 10 October. Sellers should join the queue by 7:30am; the sale finishes at 1pm and everyone selling must leave by 2pm. Parking is free after 8am.
Buyer entry is free. Seller pitches start at £15 for a car; van pitches start at £18; large-van pitches cost £18; trailers cost £3.
